Privacy Policy

Shirley Parsons and Leadership First are part of Identify Group Ltd. Identify Group and its subsidiary businesses comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. The 1998 Act sets out legislation governing the use of all and any data you provide to us. We will take the utmost care and attention when processing or utilising this data,[G1]  to ensure that your rights are protected in accordance with this or any law. 

Personal data:

Identify Group Ltd. collects personal data about you to help in the event booking process. Standard examples of personal data include name, address, email address, telephone numbers  included when completing any online registration forms (though this list is not exhaustive). 

You agree that we may collect, use, store, maintain, transfer and delete your personal data.

We collect and process sensitive personal data only so far as is necessary to ensure that we conform to legal requirements (e.g. under the equality of opportunity laws). By using this website, and by registering your details with us, your consent is given to us collecting and processing sensitive personal data (supplied by you) and disclosing this information to prospective employers/clients as a standard part of the recruitment process.

Where necessary, we may pass data to third parties that help us to process data and to prospective employers or clients for the purpose of recruitment. Also, we may share aggregate detail (collated research material with all personal identification(s) removed) with third parties. We do not disclose individual names or any identifying information without your express consent unless the law, statutes or court orders require such information be released.

Safeguarding data:

When you provide personal data to this or any of our group websites, it is secured on servers located in the UK that are protected by our own privacy policy.  Identify Group takes reasonable measures to protect your data from misuse, loss, or other unauthorised use, and we make sure to remove your personal data after it is no longer required for its intended purposes. However, Identify Group cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or unauthorised use will never occur (e.g., that someone will not overcome our security measures), and makes no representations or warranties to this effect.[G8] 

Only recruiting staff of Identify Group Ltd companies may directly access any personal data, provided through registration, by you.

Transfer of data across and outside the European Economic Area (EEA):

Any data passed onto Identify Group and its subsidiaries may be transferred to countries that are not part of the EEA.  These countries may have differing, lesser or no laws protecting the use of personal data in the above ways. Agreeing to this privacy policy means consenting to Identify Group companies’ transferal of your personal data within Identify Group Ltd. and its clients in order for us to deliver the quality service we pride ourselves on, and that some of these countries may fall under the categories above.

Cookies:

A “cookie” is a packet of data sent by an Internet server to a browser, which is used to identify the user or track their access to the server. Cookies offer you (the user) easier access to the information most relevant to each user. The cookies we use will never include any personal or sensitive information disclosed to Identify Group through you. Most web browsers default setting is to automatically accept cookies, but if you wish to opt out of this feature, you can do so using the settings section of your chosen web browser.

Removal of personal data from our database:

To ensure the removal of any or all personal data from our CRM system, please contact one of our staff and request as such.

Changes in policy:

Policy changes within the Group or any of its subsidiaries, for any reason, will be documented on this page. If the change is of a substantial nature, a communication may be sent out either by email or on our other channels.

Jargon:

Data – Information stored in a form capable of being processed by a computer or other automatic equipment; recorded in any form for later processing by a computer or other automatic equipment; stored as part of a relevant filing system or intended to be included in one in the future. 

Personal Data - Personal data are data that relate to a living individual who can be identified from that information, or from that data and other information in the possession of Empresaria Group plc or which is likely to come into the possession of Empresaria Group Plc.

Sensitive Personal Data - The 1998 Act distinguishes between ordinary personal data (such as name, address, email address, telephone numbers etc) and sensitive personal data (racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health, sex life, and criminal convictions).
